Everyday use adds up fast. Dust, skin oils, pet dander, foot traffic - it all settles into your upholstery and rugs without you really noticing. Then one day the room just feels a little off, a little flat. That's usually the buildup talking.
That's exactly what we were dealing with here. A pair of tufted accent chairs and a large area rug in a North Hollywood home - well-furnished space, nice pieces, just in need of a solid clean. The chairs had that familiar dullness that comes from regular use, and the rug had seen enough foot traffic to leave its mark.
Tufted chairs are one of those pieces that can be tricky to clean properly. All those buttons and channels trap more than a standard chair would. We worked through the fabric carefully to pull out the embedded grime without stressing the tufting or the fabric itself. The seat cushion came out separately so we could get into every corner. When it went back in, the chair looked like itself again - clean, fresh, and the texture of the fabric came back to life.
The rug got the same level of attention. A large area rug like this one takes a real beating over time, and a surface vacuum just doesn't cut it. We used our equipment to do a deep extraction, pulling out the buildup that lives down in the fibers. The difference in how a rug feels underfoot after a proper cleaning is noticeable right away.
Good upholstery and rugs are worth maintaining. Keeping them clean isn't just about appearances - it genuinely extends how long they hold up and keeps your space feeling the way you want it to.
